Abnormal Glucocorticoid Receptors in Acute Leukemia Cells

摘要: In normal tissues, 3H-triamcinolone acetonide (3H-TA) labeled glucocorticoid receptors can be resolved into 2 components by DEAE chromatography: peak I elutes at 0.04 M salt and II 0.22 salt. By glycerol gradient centrifugation, is 3.5S 8.5S. Peak binds to DNA, while does not. Blast cell 3H-TA- binding macromolecules in 27 of 62 cases acute leukemia had characteristics identical those tissues; the remaining 35 were abnormal. these there was either a single species eluting area (30 cases) or multiple low-amplitude peaks across entire (5 cases). The abnormal material failed bind DNA 5 (of studied), whereas from showing I-peak ratios, bound normally DNA. 3 an S value 2–2.5S, with values 8.5S, respectively. We hypothesize that leukemias binder cannot respond therapy.
