摘要: Combined psychopharmacology and psychotherapy is a common treatment form in modern psychiatric practice. Numerous research studies confirm that the combination of treatments are more effective than each alone. Such clinical care often provided collaborative arrangements wherein psychiatrist or other physician provides medication manages medical issues while non-physician therapist psychotherapy. There positive negatives aspects providing various associated ethical legal dilemmas. Some include better utilization special talents both psychiatrist; cost-effective resources; enhanced opportunity for patients to select therapists with similar ethnic and/or gender background. Negative splitting clinicians; potential problems prescribing decisions due inadequate knowledge content psychotherapy; clouded responsibilities. It important clinicians involved such understand define their own roles responsibilities; objectives; optimal ways communicating patient issues.
