摘要: Orally administered medications may interact with various fruits, vegetables, herbal medicines, functional foods or dietary supplements. Drug-food interactions, which are mostly unknown from prescribers, including internists, be responsible for changes in drug plasma concentrations, decrease efficacy led to sometimes life-threatening toxicity. Aging, concomitant medications, transplant recipients, patients cancer, malnutrition, HIV infection and those receiving enteral parenteral feeding at increased risk of drug-food interactions. This review focused on the most clinically relevant grapefruit juice, Saint-John's Wort, nutrition, their respective consequences clinical setting order provide thoughtful information internists routine practice. Specific settings also detailed, such as Ramadan multiple especially elderly patients. interactions presented respect main therapeutic families, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, analgesics, cardiovascular warfarin well new oral anticoagulants, anticancer drugs immunosuppressant medications. Considerable effort has been achieved a better understanding food-drug increase clinicians' ability anticipate occurrence Describing frequency internal medicine is paramount optimize patient care dosing an individual basis doctors information.
