摘要: Patients are taking more control over their health, and attracted by contributions to human nutrition, the use of phytonutrients raised. Carotenoids flavonoids among most studied consumed chemical entities in this sense. However, patients often unaware potential risks associated drug-herbal interactions. In study, four drugs were tested combined lycopene, β-carotene, resveratrol rutine an vitro model against clinical isolates E. coli S. aureus. Statistically significant antagonism was detected within interactions for at least one isolate. Few events synergism detected. For coli, antimicrobial activity Cephalexin Amoxicillin significantly reduced. aureus, strong reduction seen all drugs. Our data suggest that there might be impairment these if co-administered with phytonutrients. Further complementary vivo studies needed full assessment biological effects
