摘要: The integration of information technology in education has, the last thirty years, changed from being non-existent to a fundamental part developed education system. A successful School Library Media Centre (SLMC) is central to education. typical SLMC aims provide broad range printed and nonprinted resources. phenomenon has new, dynamic role in supporting learning environment SLMC. Schools school library media centres developed countries have evolved widely an advanced level ICT integration. On other hand, educational organisations Kuwait have, date, failed realise their potential. purpose this thesis to explore provision use communication (ICT) applications services secondary schools, especially SLMCs, in Kuwait. study focuses on community (teachers pupils) their skill with, knowledge of, ICT. There been no previous research that has investigated availability schools Kuwait, so this study fill gap. In order thoroughly understand phenomenon, an interpretive case approach adopted and, therefore, multiple data gathering techniques utilised. subject within its proper context, two bodies pertinent literature were reviewed, both developed developing countries. The data gathering instruments showed remarkable findings. argues that SLMCs maintained as mere storehouses with meagre integration. Overall, results indicated there was significant lack related in Kuwaiti schools. Most teachers pupils reasonable of ICT. also into was strongly advocated by headmasters, alike. To conclude, the results highlight need better importance new environments in education. argues for Kuwaiti policymakers a groundbreaking policy improve current situation. Although is limited education, may be equally applicable to other many analogous countries.
