摘要: Dried blood spots (DBS) are an alternative specimen collection format for HIV-1 genotyping. DBS produce HIV genotyping results that robust and equivalent to plasma when using conventional sequencing methods. However, tagged, pooled pyrosequencing, we demonstrate concordance between is not absolute varies according viral load (VL), duration of infection antiretroviral therapy (ART) status. The plasma/DBS the highest VL ≥5,000 copies/ml and/or patient has no ART exposure ≤2 years. Stepwise regression analysis revealed most important independent predictor with genotypes. This first study use next generation identify discordance Consideration should be given VL, infection, interpreting genotypes produced sequencing. These findings particular significance used clinical monitoring purposes.
