摘要: The mechanism for object location in the environment, and perception of external world as stable when eyes, head body are moved, have long been thought to be centred on posterior parietal cortex. However, position signals, their integration with visual eye signals form a representation space referenced body, never examined any area Here we show that saccadic activities neurons strongly affected by position. effects equivalent individual neurons, indicating modulation is function gaze direction, regardless whether eyes or used direct gaze. These data consistent idea cortex contains distributed body-centred coordinates.
