摘要: This study examined gully development in Demekpe drainage basin, Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State Nigeria; with a view to determine the volume and amount sediment loss from 3rd order system. The systematic sampling technique was used segment which measured 220m long at intervals 20m. Parameters include among others length, depth, shoulder bed widths, slope gradient, cross sectional area, stream density, frequency intensity. Cartesian coordinates, spot heights core soil values were also determined. Digital Elevation Model model form, direction runoff delivery ratio result showed that system area 91.7m2 is 931.5m3 using End method determination. or weight estimated be 12,575.28 tonnes. indicates trapezoidal form slopes summital convexity. convexity shape implies generated all sides slopes, influencing considerate floor. It therefore recommended planting cover crops should intensified enhance infiltration concreted surfaces minimised reduce surface along slopes.
