摘要: This chapter is focused on the use of ion-beam processing for controlling linear and nonlinear optical properties different nanostructures based metallic clusters embedded in silica. Three case studies will be presented: first modification surface-plasmon resonance nanoclusters by direct implantation or irradiation. The second far-field local-field means controlled ion irradiation bimetallic nanoclusters. last example deals with synthesis ordered plasmonic using and/or These three examples are a sort hierarchical approach to control nanoparticles, starting from functional building block our approach, i.e., randomly positioned metal nanoparticles silica, end at level formation ion-implantation-ordered arrays (chains planar 2D assembly). In all these examples, demonstrates not only simple technique, but very powerful tool obtaining new properties. A brief description theoretical comprehension light-particle interaction semiclassical point view given aid interpretation experimental results.
