摘要: We propose a phenomenological model for microcrack nucleation in solid under constant external stress. argue that the kinetics of crack process is qualitatively different from occurring simple metastable states such as supercooled liquids or supersaturated solutions. This difference caused by irreversible processes surface diffusion restructure surfaces. restructuring inhibits healing and thus yields rate much faster than obtained directly applying laws appropriate to
