摘要: Abstract After intravenous immunization with sheep red blood cells the rabbit spleen shows a sharp rise in number of plaque-forming but there is no detectable PFC appendix or mesenteric lymph node same animals. Repeated via an appendicostomy blind loop results virtually local and only small splenic PFC. In lethally irradiated animals neither thymocytes nor alone restore response. Simultaneous injection two cell types restores both direct indirect plaque formation. The injected were labeled tritiated adenosine standard rosette assay for specific antigen-binding applied to recipients' following immunization. Rosettes appeared by 3 days after whether labeled. Labeled rosettes observed receiving cells. This result demonstrates presence forming precursors populations suggests that gut-associated lymphoid tissues include antibody-forming which are normally seeded draining nodes.
