摘要: Sustainable forage production is one of the most important factors in livestock system. Smallholder system a part agricultural practice Indonesia. Limited land owned by farmers was dominantly cultivated for food crops, and very small it used cultivating plants. This leads to restriction smallholder development, because no more available production. Integrated planting plants crops or trees same area becomes considerable cropping that widely practiced Some grasses legumes have morphological advantages overcoming growth condition under shading. These characteristics are benefit designing compatible components enhanced productivity tree-pasture systems. Four potential shade-tolerant creeping forages were combined with 2 levels nitrogen application tested using factorial completely randomized design 3 replicates. The first factor species (stoloniferous): BH = Brachiaria humidicola, PN Paspalum notatum, AC Axonopus compressus and, AP Arachis pintoi. second (urea) fertilizer: A without N fertilizer B (300 kg Urea/ha). observations included rates plant length, number leaves, herbages yield (shoot), root dry weight, senescence, total N-shoot, N-soil N-uptake. results showed significantly differed species. Most an increase trend, except P. notatum. A. as best performance compared other, terms rates, herbage (shoot) N-uptake N-shoot. followed B. Based on previous study, found native tree It indicated its superior other tested. However, needed further research observe compatibility each
