摘要: This paper considers findings from a cross-cultural project comparing mental health curricula across three schools of social work located in both China, specifically Shanghai, Hong Kong; and finally, Omaha, USA. Chinese philosophies belief systems are reviewed as they pertain to illness well-being. Additionally, the influence dominant discourses informing professional practice development indigenous considered. Findings indicate that universities appears balance pedagogical approaches towards providing students with up-to-date knowledge on psychopathology psychiatric work, while offering significant weighting traditional systems. The discussion revolves around issue developing practitioners equipped within medicalised, settings but sufficient offer culturally congruent local populations.
