摘要: In several studies plant lectins have shown promise as transgenic resistance factors against various insect pests. We here that pea seed lectin is a potential candidate for use pollen beetle, serious pest of Brassica oilseeds. feeding assays where beetle larvae were fed oilseed rape anthers soaked in 1% solution there was reduction survival 84% compared to on control treatment and the weight surviving reduced by 79%. When 10% used all dead after 4 days testing. To further evaluate lectin, plants (Brassica napus cv. Westar) produced which gene under pollen-specific promoter Sta44-4 introduced. 11 out 20 tested T0-generation significant larval weight, ranged up 46% control. A small but rate also observed. T2-generation reductions, with maximum 32%, obtained 10 33 comparisons between their controls. Pea concentrations T2-plants 1.5% total soluble protein. There negative correlation concentration growth. Plants from test groups differences weights had significantly higher mean concentration, 0.64% 0.15% without effect weight. These results support conclusion promising factor oilseeds beetles.
