摘要: Abstract The prevalence of hoof lesions and lameness in 4899 heifers cows was determined at claw trimming one time a cross-sectional study on 101 Swedish dairy farms, 1996–1998. percentage affected animals 41% for heel-horn erosion, 30% sole haemorrhages, 27% erosive dermatitis, 21% abnormal shape, 14% white-line 8.8% fissures, 8.6% ulcers, 3.3% double soles, 2.3% verrucose 1.8% interdigital hyperplasia (IH). Seventy-two percent all had least lesion. 5.1%; most did not cause lameness. Differences between herds were substantial; the herd-specific, animal-level ranged from 25 to 98% 0 33%. Sole haemorrhages found herds. proportion variance between-herd level particularly high erosion (62%) shape (54%). Strong correlations within hooves (and animals), e.g. dermatitis (Spearman’s rank correlation, r s =0.36 0.37, respectively) ( =0.25 0.28). Most hind front bilaterally, whereas correlation generally lower. Herds that ranked ulcer also IH. Abnormal strongly associated with =0.41 cow level)—suggesting importance maintaining correct prevention hoof-horn lesions.
