摘要: A new mathematical representation for discussing the state of polarisation an arbitrary beam partially polarised light is described which makes use generators group SU(3). This sufficiently general to describe not only physical photons are transverse but also virtual photons. The correspondence between our and conventional Stokes parameter established this leads equivalent geometrical description in terms diametrically opposite points on a Poincare sphere with radius equal degree polarisation. connection spherical tensor discussed simple interpretation bounds parameters characterizing light.
