摘要: Abstract Background: Helicobacter pylori has been implicated as a possible etiologic factor in gastric cancer. This case control study was performed to determine the association between H. and cancer, taking into account possibility of confounding by other background factors. Methods: Sera were collected from 112 incident patients with cancer 103 nongastroenterological diseases, who frequency-matched respect age sex. Immunoglobulin G antibodies identified using HM-CAP immunoassay (Enteric Products Inc., Wesbury, NY). Results: The prevalence seropositivity significantly higher ( P = 0.002) among than patients. odds ratio (OR) 2.60 (95% confidence interval, 1.35–5.02). increased OR associated infection confined tumors noncardia location (OR, 3.06) men 4.27). decreasing at diagnosis reach 9.33 remained increased. Conclusions: results support hypothesis an independent risk indicator
