摘要: Excessive production of proinflammatory cytokines, including TNF-alpha, IL-1, IL-6, IL-12, and IFN-gamma is thought to contribute significantly lethality in septic shock syndromes. IL-23 a heterodimeric cytokine that combines the p40 subunit IL-12 with specific p19 subunit. Similar considered be key immunoregulator response pathogenic organisms but its contribution Gram-negative endotoxic as yet unclear. Using an established model Pseudomonas aeruginosa, we found early sustained expression transcripts spleens mice undergoing lethal challenge bacterium. Administration p19-neutralizing antibody reduced mortality dose-dependent fashion. Survival P. aeruginosa-challenged was associated dramatic decrease circulating levels pathogenetic TNF-alpha IFN-gamma. Hence, may represent new therapeutic target shock.
