摘要: IL-9 is a T cell-derived cytokine that, similar to the Th2 cytokines IL-4 and IL-10, has been implicated in response parasitic infections, allergy, inflammatory processes. Because both IL-10 can confer protection mice from septic shock, we investigated whether may also be capable of conferring resistance on recipients an otherwise lethal challenge with Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Prophylactic injections rIL-9 appeared most effective preventing onset according pattern that was dose dependent time dependent. The protective effect correlated marked decreases production mediators TNF-alpha, IL-12, IFN-gamma, as well induction anti-inflammatory IL-10. Sustained levels IL-9-specific transcripts could detected spleens recovering sublethal P. aeruginosa infection. Therefore, shock via rather unique mechanism involving complex modulation mediators.
