摘要: Mercury is widely found in nature, however, low concentrations, but anthropological activities have increased its concentration considerably. This causes various environmental hazards and human health. Many substances are capable of reversing the toxicity mercuric chloride environment. The aim present study was to determine chelating effect vanillin, as well evaluate capacity for cytoprotection prokaryotic eukaryotic plant models. Chelating activity determined from vanillin’s ability reduce iron III ions. To a unicellular model, Escherichia coli Candida albicans, respectively, were used. And cytoprotective vegetables, lettuce seeds submitted different concentrations association with sub-allelopathic vanillin (32 µg/mL). Vanillin has been antioxidant it can use also allows better growth development Lactuca sativa seed root stem, allowing preservation biochemical structures. These results quite important, contamination by heavy metals dramatically finding viable alternative grow vegetables contaminated areas very valid.
