摘要: Abstract The scattering of X-rays and γ-rays are events that have strong dependencies on the polarization incident scattered photons. Because this, problems can be solved without explicit reference to state radiation exceptional. This article reviews available information effects arising when photons in X-ray γ-ray regime undergo photoelectric effect, coherent (Rayleigh) incoherent (Compton) by atomic electrons. In addition descriptions discussion these effects, we study backscattering from an infinite thickness target excited with a plane slant monodirectional monochromatic source, using Boltzmann transport theory mathematical representation introduced Stokes. Results this model, for both unpolarized polarized sources, compared computations performed neglecting or averaging showing limitations such approximations.
