摘要: The bioleaching mechanism of pyrite by the indigenous Thiobacillus thiooxidans was examined with aid scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force (AFM) images surface. presence eliminated lag phase during growth this microorganism. This due to stimulatory effect on cell slight amount Cu2+ that had leached from pyrite. Zn2+ found be much more readily solubilized than Cu2+. efficiency four times higher chemical leaching. SEM provided evidence direct attachment onto surface, thereby enhancing rate. Furthermore, extracellular polymeric substances (EPSs) were surface after 4 days oxidation. AFM showed area positively correlated oxidation A combination indirect is probably responsible for T. thiooxidans.
