摘要: Abstract Although there is considerable evidence supporting that fever evolved as a host defense response, it important the rise in body temperature would not be too high. Many endogenous cryogens or antipyretics limit have been identified. Endogenous attenuate by influencing thermoregulatory neurons preoptic anterior hypothalamus (POAH) and adjacent septal areas including ventral area (VSA). Our previous study showed intracerebroventricular (I.C.V.) injection of interleukin-1 β (IL-1 ) affected electrophysiological activities thermosensitive VSA regions, electrical stimulation POAH reversed effect IL-1 . To further investigate functional connection between its mechanisms thermoregulation, firing rates forty-seven unit discharge were recorded using extracellular microelectrode technique New Zealand white rabbits. results show warm-sensitive decreased significantly those cold-sensitive increased when pyrogen was injected I.C.V. The effects on VSA. An arginine vasopressin (AVP) V1 antagonist abolished regulatory evoked However, an AVP V2 had no effects. These data indicated regulates through but receptor.
