摘要: Previous experiments in our laboratory have demonstrated that the rate and extent of carbon tetrachloride (CT) chloroform (CF) dechlorination were enhanced when a methanogenic enrichment culture iron (Fe0) incubated together. Batch with three pure cultures methanogens, Methanosarcina barkeri, thermophila, Methanosaeta concillii performed to determine how this transformation occurred. When hydrogen (H2) was added as an electron donor, degradation CT for all organisms CF M. thermophila more rapid. H2 produced from oxidation iron, which therefore served source organisms, enhancing CF.
