Analysis of mycotoxin fumonisins in corn products by high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with evaporative light scattering detection

摘要: Abstract Fumonisins are mycotoxins produced by the fungus Fusarium verticillioides, which is a widespread pathogen of corn. The known to cause fatal diseases in some domestic animals and have been linked human esophageal cancer China South Africa. Here, we describe simple method for direct quantitative analysis toxins food products. based on high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with an evaporative laser scattering detector (HPLC–ELSD) without any prior derivatization samples. Using this method, analyzed corn-based samples from central markets eastern China. results showed that FB1 was main contaminant overall level fumonisin contamination relatively low, range 0.25–1.80 μg/g (mean 0.74 μg/g) 66.7% (16 24) corn Middle-eastern Area, 0.21–0.29 μg/g 0.24 μg/g) 28.6% (6 21) Northeastern 0.30–3.13 μg/g 0.47 μg/g) 30.0% 20) Southeastern Area.
