摘要: Objective—To evaluate the effect of a long-term trapneuter-return program, with adoption whenever possible, on dynamics free-roaming cat population. Design—Observational epidemiologic study. Animals—155 unowned cats. Procedures—Free-roaming cats residing university campus were trapped, neutered, and returned to environment or adopted over an 11-year period. Results—During observation period (January 1991 April 2002), 75% feral, 25% socialized. Kittens comprised 56% original Male slightly more numerous (55%) than females. At conclusion period, 47% had been removed for adoption, 15% remained site, disappeared, 11% euthanatized, 6% died, moved surrounding wooded environment.
