摘要: The development of species distribution models (SDMs) has benefited biodiversity conservation through their linkage science to policy and decision processes. These have evolved provide scenarios future landscapes based on known projected environmental parameters. Whereas there are many caveats use, the persuasive power for conveying consequences change non-science community is immense. Scientists obliged convey uncertainty futures depicted in models, but also involve stakeholders who will shape those conditions. Stakeholders can identify natural resources they want sustain, voice priorities policy, articulate range solutions willing accept. creation alternative an academic exercise if not linked real viable decisions concerning important resources. SDMs only reach full potential when bring together scientists, public makers, used as adaptive management tool understand complex that undergoing short- long-term change.
