Abstract Three Georgian native grape cultivars, ‘Alexandrouli’, ‘Dzveli Alexandrouli’ ‘Mujuretuli’ (Vitis vinifera L.), widely grown in the Racha province western Georgia, were investigated by SSR molecular markers chemotaxonomic, ampelographic phenological methods. The investigations aimed to clarify genetic phenetic correlations among cultivars learn their possible relationships. results showed that ‘Alexandrouli’ are two phenotypically distinct clones with identical profiles. Probably originated as a mutant ‘Alexandrouli’. On other hand, is genetically ampelographically distinct. Hence, can be considered homonym cultivars. Results emphasize importance integrating genotyping phenotyping methods ethnographic written sources germplasm characterization.
