摘要: Background The successful treatment of malignant gliomas remains a challenge despite the current standard care, which consists surgery, radiation and temozolomide. Advances in survival brain cancer patients require design new therapeutic approaches that take advantage common phenotypes such as altered metabolism found cells. It has therefore been postulated high-fat, low-carbohydrate, adequate protein ketogenic diet (KD) may be useful tumors. We have demonstrated KD enhances potentiates therapy mouse model glioma, yet mechanisms are not fully understood.
