摘要: An automated method, KSCAN, for reduction of the profilograms produced by mechanical profilograph into a profile index (PRI) and identification bump locations grinding has been developed. The algorithm followed was Kansas Test Method KT-46I: Determination Pavement Profile with 7.62-m (25-ft) Profilograph. trace is scanned to digitize its tracing. image enhancement program used prepare analysis, then line identified, tracked, digitized. A linear regression analysis performed establish location "floating" centerline (corresponding "null" or "zero" blanking band) along this line. PRIs are calculated based on deviation from floating centerline, bumps located any specified 25.4-mm (1-in.) reference moving baseline. Options available incorporate band widths value PRI calculations. Comparison results using manual methods, profilographs, KSCAN showed that should easily satisfy KT-46I requirement comparison between Department Transportation not differ more than 32 mm/km (2 in./mi) segment basis (0.16 km 0.1 mi). Extensive tests indicated computed given generally varied less +/-3% scan scan, five successive segments totals rarely differed +/-1%. process implemented personal computer, an assembled system consisting software, special scanning hardware, IBM-compatible 486 printer costs under $7,500.
