摘要: Sun experiments were performed to develop methods for accurately mapping the noise temperatures over entire solar disk at 32 GHz (Ka-band). Highresolution of Sun’s was obtained through use 34-m beam-waveguide (BWG) antenna and Ka-band monopulse receiving system DSS 13. Detailed possible because BWG has a full 3-dB beamwidth that is only 17 mdeg compared angular diameter about 0.5 deg. Due expected high temperature (>10,000 K), had be developed so incoming noise-temperature power would not saturate system. Of several investigated, absorber waveguide attenuator considered (1) easy inexpensive implement into any existing (2) have potential giving accurate results. Both these used measure presented in this article.
