Preparation and Evaluation of Composite Flame Retardant Asphalt in Tunnel

摘要: Asphalt pavement becomes more and popular in tunnel engineering, while its flammability is a serious problem that limits development. In order to obtain flame retardant asphalt, orthogonal design was utilized investigate the best content of magnesium hydroxide (MH), phosphorus (P) decabromodiphenyl ethane (DBDPE). Limiting oxygen index (LOI), penetration, softening point ductility tests were employed evaluate retardancy performance asphalt. The results show three kinds retardants have positive influence on low temperature SBS modified asphalt but not good for high performance. determined as: 4% MH, 6% P 8% DBDPE.
