摘要: Introduction: ′Non-dippers′ are individuals without the anticipated nocturnal decrease in blood pressure. An increased incidence of target organ damage and a worse outcome terms cardiovascular events have been reported this group people. The pathogenesis of non-dipper hypertension is not clear at present. We aimed to investigate effects overt subclinical hypothyroidism on the development pressure pattern via 24-hour ambulatory monitoring. Material methods: 109 normotensive patients with were evaluated, 95 these patients without reverse dipping masked included study. control consisted 75 gender- age-matched, normotensive, euthyroid healthy individuals. Results: Median serum TSH levels 7.61 1.59 mUmL patient groups, respectively. number non-dippers according to systolic, diastolic mean was significantly higher compared control group. In linear regression analysis, had negative effect night/day ratio pressures. Conclusion: Despite fact that known, present study has revealed elevated likely increase risk non-dipping either or subclinical hypothyroidism. (Pol J Endocrinol 2012; 63 (2): 97–103)
