Relationship of communication style to egalitarian marital role expectations.

摘要: Abstract This study examined the relationship between marital model endorsed by American couples and their style of communication. Subjects were 76 married obtained from college psychology, nursing, home economics classes. The individually completed a personal data form, Marriage Role Expectation Inventory (Dunn, 1960), Locke Wallace's (1959) Short Marital Adjustment Test, Communication (Bienvenu, 1978). Twenty selected to participate in communication simulation shown Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) cards instructed create oral stories. Each couple's interaction was evaluated an investigator. Results showed that significantly correlated with both egalitarianism adjustment. revealed differences moderately egalitarian very couples.
