摘要: Abstract Introduction Macrophages are highly activated by endodontic contents. This study investigated the correlation between different clinical signs/symptoms and radiographic features according to levels of interleukin (IL)-1β, tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α), IL-6, IL-10, prostaglandin E 2 (PGE ), their networks produced content–stimulated macrophages collected from primary infection with apical periodontitis (PEIAP). Methods Samples were taken 21 root canals PEIAP using paper points. The presence exudate (EX), pain on palpation (POP), tenderness percussion (TTP), size lesion (SRL) recorded. Polymerase chain reaction (16S rDNA) was used for bacterial detection limulus amebocyte lysate (LAL) assay endotoxin measurement. Raw 264.7 stimulated contents during 24 hs. amounts IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-10 PGE measured enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Log-based data correlated multiple logistic regression ( P Results Bacteria detected in 100% samples. IL-6 TNF-α positively SRL EX, respectively , each other POP but negatively Conclusions Our findings suggest roles cytokine development periodontitis, whose effects overlapping depend found infection.
