A selective and sensitive kinetic method for the determination of procaine and benzocaine in pharmaceuticals.

摘要: Abstract A simple stopped-flow method for the determination of procaine and benzocaine which is suitable their routine analysis in pharmaceutical samples reported. The based on a condensation reaction between each compound 4-dimethylaminocinnamaldehyde, yields coloured compounds are monitored spectrophotometrically. calibration graph generated linear over range 0.5–20 μg ml −1 (RSD 0.73%) 0.5–15 0.40%) benzocaine, selectivity very high both cases. proposed methods were satisfactorily applied to two drugs various samples. procedure resolution procaine-benzocaine mixtures mass ratios 15:1 1:7 with precision ca 1% was developed order determine one presence other no interference.
