摘要: Epilepsy is a chronic disorder affecting approximately 1% of the population world. Approximately one third patients with epilepsy remain refractory to medical therapy. For these patients, surgery curative option. In order for be considered, precise localization structural abnormality needed. When MR imaging findings are normal, more sensitive techniques such as positron-emission tomography (PET) can help find abnormality. Combining and PET information increases sensitivity presurgical evaluation. this review, we discuss clinical applications coregistration [(18)F] fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG)-PET medically epilepsy. Because FDG-PET/MR has been routine component evaluation at our institution since 2004, also included cases from data base that exemplify utility technology obtain better postsurgical outcomes.
