摘要: Abstract OBJECTIVES The objective of this study was to compare stentless bioprostheses with stented regard their hemodynamic behavior during exercise. BACKGROUND Stentless aortic have better performances at rest than bioprostheses, but very few comparisons were performed METHODS Thirty-eight patients normally functioning (n = 19) or submitted a maximal ramp upright bicycle exercise test. Valve effective orifice area and mean transvalvular pressure gradient peak successfully measured using Doppler echocardiography in 30 the 38 patients. RESULTS At exercise, increased significantly less (+5 ± 3 vs. +12 8 mm Hg; p 0.002) despite similar increases flow rates (+137 58 +125 65 ml/s; 0.58); valve also no significant difference between groups. Despite difference, capacity not different, left ventricular (LV) mass function closer normal bioprostheses. Overall, there strong inverse relation indexed (r 0.90). CONCLUSIONS Hemodynamics are due larger resting This is associated beneficial effects LV function. found can be used project these time operation. It should thus useful select optimal prosthesis given patient’s body surface level physical activity.
