摘要: Background The contribution of cell proliferation to regeneration varies greatly between different metazoan models. Planarians rely on pluripotent neoblasts and amphibian limb depends upon formation a proliferative blastema, while in Hydra can occur the absence proliferation. Recently, cnidarian Nematostella vectensis has shown potential as model for studies because ability conduct comparative patterning during embryonic development, asexual reproduction, regeneration. The present study investigates pattern oral structures role this process.
