摘要: The purpose of this paper is to compare three approaches the measurement patient-reported health status which produce summary scales status: Patient-generated Index (PGI) a measure individual quality life (QoL), EuroQol QoL results are weighted by utility values gained from community surveys and SF-36 produces two (the physical component (PCS) mental (MCS) scores). A follow-up interview survey patients with obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) was conducted. received continuous positive airways pressure therapy (CPAP) between administrations questionnaires. One hundred presenting OSA who were suitable for CPAP asked if they would take part in study. on PGI, EQ-5D scores 'thermometer' measured. Eighty-nine respondents provided sufficient data calculate PGI 86 scores. indicated substantial improvement after treatment whereas little or no either thermometer PCS MCS lower than those general population at baseline, but had improved normative levels treatment. substantially different picture change ones PGI. It suggested that does not contain questions relate important aspects well-being may accurately reflect state individuals. Consequently, caution must be exercised assure an appropriate instrument has been employed when using outcomes assess prioritize available care treatments.
