摘要: Infants in whom neonatal seizures were confirmed by randomly recorded ictal electroencephalographic (EEG) tracings retrospectively examined to determine their global neurologic outcome and the specific frequency of epilepsy, development delay, cerebral palsy. Perinatal postnatal clinical EEG variables also for relevance outcome. Forty infants with documented diverse etiologies studied. The 27 survivors followed up at a mean 31 months. was unfavorable 70%. rate epilepsy 56%, developmental delay 67%, palsy 63%. etiology an important factor influencing Other factors that showed significant relationship or aspects included age onset seizures, birth weight, examination results. parameters significantly predicted interictal background, increased seizure frequency, decreased duration.
