摘要: Administration of the pituitary hormone alpha-melanocyte-stimulating (alpha-MSH) to mice was found inhibit a number IL-1 and TNF-inducible biologic responses in situ. The ability either or TNF cause fever, enhance plasma levels acute phase proteins, increase numbers peripheral blood neutrophils inhibited by simultaneous administration this neuropeptide. In addition, alpha-MSH reversed depressive influences on effector contact hypersensitivity (CH) animals given an adoptive transfer primed lymphocytes from hapten-sensitized donors. Intracerebral injection nanogram quantities peripherally administered induce both fever neutrophilia without affecting serum amyloid P fibrinogen. Also, intracerebrally normal did not reverse depressed CH observed after administration. These findings suggest that are linked direct action brain. This supported observation intracerebral low doses increased core body temperature circulating neutrophil proteins responsiveness. Our results provide additional support for hypothesis bidirectional control exists between elements neuroendocrine immune systems.
