摘要: Taurine has been reported to possess various biological activities, such as anti-obesity, antioxidant, hypoglycemic, and hypolipidemic effects. A health functional food (HFF) is a that can be helpful in maintaining or improving health. The purpose of this study was investigate needs assessment for development taurine-containing Korean college students. Data were collected from 251 students (162 males 89 females) Incheon, Korea. This conducted using self-reported questionnaires, including perception regarding HFF. 3-day recall method used analysis dietary taurine nutrient intake. Most subjects wanted buy HFF specialty store consult with specialized consultant on main reason reliable product (male 61.9 % female 70.8 %). provided accurate information the 54.3 50.8 Average intake male consumers 139.2 mg/day non-consumers 171.0 mg/day. In males, average significantly higher compared consumers. function control body fat, enhance immunity, ensure healthy gut, order. Therefore, students, necessary proper health, should sold stores, relevant by consultant.
