摘要: Abstract The species Thermus scotoductus was recently described as containing several non-pigmented isolates from Selfoss, Iceland, and the X-1 strain USA (Kristjansson et al., 1994). In this study, we performed DNA:DNA hybridizations chemotaxonomic studies on other geographical areas to assess their relationship strains originally assigned species. results of showed that NH DI London VI-7a VI-13 Vizela, Portugal, belonged T. scotoductus. (ATCC 27978) composed two stable colony types, one which had a major glycolipid different present in type all examined well. fatty acid composition Selfoss were practically identical. However, X-1, individual types Vizela Selfoss-London each other. Another strain, designated SPS-11, DNA homology group.
