A facile and general fabrication method for organic silica hollow spheres and their excellent adsorption properties for heavy metal ions

摘要: This paper presents a facile and general method for fabrication of organic silica hollow spheres by co-hydrolysis condensation reactions TEOS other silane coupling agents under the catalysis ammonia. Silane were first pre-hydrolyzed to form micelles. When was added, sol–gel reaction takes place between Si–OH methoxy groups, at surfaces micelles porous shells, producing spheres. Taking vinyl as an example, as-obtained exhibited considerably high adsorption properties Pb2+ heavy metal ions.
