摘要: In this work a model of the engineering education pathway from middle school, through high school and completion B.S. degree in is proposed. The incorporates closed-loop infrastructure earlier models extends feedback control loops which characterize external recruitment retention efforts. A perturbation analysis system parameters indicates that intervention at enrollment stage provides largest increase engineers produced. Preliminary simulation results indicate with along pathway, number B. S. level produced does greatly. Issues sustainability feasibility these efforts policy implications are discussed.
