摘要: The physical location of the first side branch instability during steady state directional solidification is studied. A new model which allows for coarsening dendrite considered prediction perturbation. accepted growth law liquid phase sintering integrated into existing model. Thus, it inferred that fixes its tip radius because marginal stability considerations, but driven solute flow modifies concentration gradient experienced by envelope thereby influencing secondary instability. test succinonitrile-acetone system carried out comparing predicted behavior with numerous experimental measurements previously reported. reasonable match calculated values in relation to tip, noted when compared experimentally measured numbers.
