摘要: Energy systems comprise a key sector of the U.S. economy, and one that is vulnerable to effects climate variability change. However, science community's understanding adaptation processes in energy limited. It unclear, for example, extent which companies’ are well-served by existing knowledge tools. To help inform regional IAM project addressing sector's vulnerability change, we investigated available evidence processes, with particular emphasis on Southeast Gulf Coast region. A mixed methods approach literature review semi-structured interviews informants from utilities was used compare IAV community stakeholders. That comparison revealed much climate-centric therefore disconnected more integrated decision-making institutional perspectives utilities. Greater investment needed assessment modeling efforts respond practical needs as well greater collaboration between researchers design, execution, communication those efforts.
