Medical Students’ Efforts to Integrate and/or Reclaim Authentic Identity: Insights from a Mask-Making Exercise

摘要: Medical students’ mask-making can provide valuable insights into personal and professional identity formation wellness. A subset of first- second-year medical students attending a school wellness retreat participated in workshop. Faculty-student teams examined student masks explanatory narratives using visual textual analysis techniques. quantitative survey assessed perceptions the experience. We identified an overarching theme: “Reconciliation/reclamation authentic identity.” The combination nonverbal narrative offers rich experience thinking. This activity promoted reflection self-care, while providing insight regarding development.
