‘I now have a visual image in my mind and it is something I will never forget’: an analysis of an arts-informed approach to health professions ethics education

摘要: This paper reports on a study of an arts informed approach to ethics education in health professions context. The purpose this was investigate students’ reported learning experiences as result engagement with arts-informed project professions’ course. A hermeneutic phenomenological methodological adopted for the study. data were collected over 5 years, and involved analysis 234 occupational therapy written reflections learning. Phenomenological methods used. Five key themes identified respect including: becoming aware values, (re) discovering creativity, coming value reflection professional life, deepening self-awareness, developing capacities imagine future practices. There appear be number unique ways which approaches can contribute activating imaginative engagement, fostering interpretive capacity, inspiring transformative understandings, offering new knowing, reflection, heightening consciousness, while also enriching inner life practitioners. Innovative are being used introduce practices curricula programs. findings point promise advancing sciences education.
